Actress Jean Garcia goes daring in the upcoming Regal Films movie The Escort, starring Lovi Poe and Derek Ramsay.
In fact, Jean has completed shooting her love scenes with Derek, who plays her lover in the movie.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the August 4 story conference of her new movie Mano Po 7: Chinoy, she explained her role in the lives of Derek and Lovi.
Jean pointed out, "Yung The Escort kasi yung role ko doon, I have a husband who's the mayor na makukulong.
"Naging mag-asawa kami, tapos artista ako before. Pero ito lang yung back story ng character ko. The story is more of Lovi Poe and Derek Ramsay talaga.
Jean also excitedly said about her love scene with Derek, "Daring, as in meron kaming pool scene tapos ako yung aggressive, ako yung nakapatong sa kanya!"
The pool scene is seen in the trailer of this movie produced by Regal Films. The trailer of The Escort was first shown to the public during the red carpet premiere of That Thing Called Tanga Na last August 9.
Jean and Derek both expressed delight in working with each other for the first time, as shown through their social media accounts.
MANO PO 7. After The Escort, Jean is also set to be seen in another film produced by Regal Films: Mano Po 7: Chinoy.
In the movie, she plays Deborah, the Filipino wife of Chinese businessman Wilson Tan played by ABS-CBN actor Richard Yap.
During the presscon proper, Jean revealed that she will have a love scene with Richard who in turn, confessed that Jean was his former crush.
Aside from Richard, Jean will also be working with Janella Salvador, Jana Agoncillo, Marlo Mortel, and Enchong Dee, who are all Kapamilya talents.
According to the Kapuso star, she met all her co-stars for the first time during the story conference.
Jean said during the presscon proper that she is happy to be given projects allowing her to work with ABS-CBN talents despite her being a contract artist of GMA.
She said, "Oo, di ba, para naman makatrabaho ko naman sila bilang ilang taon na rin naman akong walang sa ABS, since lumipat ako sa 7, 2006, e. Ngayon under contract ako with GMA.
"Very thankful ako kasi nabibigyan ako ng pagkakataon na ganito na dahil sa pelikula, nakakatrabaho ko yung mga hindi ko nakakatrabaho sa network. I'm very happy."
It seems Jean is having a great time working with these Kapamilya stars as seen through her Instagram posts while undergoing workshops.
Regal Films plans to submit this movie directed by Ian Lorenos for consideration to the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.
