Angel-Sam-Zanjoe-starrer The Third Party grosses P10 million on opening day

The Third Party--
starring Zanjoe Marudo, Sam Milby, and Angel Locsin--earned P10 million on its opening day, October 12, 2016.

This is according to figures posted by Star Cinema on its official Instagram account earlier today, October 13.

The caption of the ABS-CBN's film production arm IG post reads: "#TheThirdParty has earned P10M on its first day! Maraming maraming salamat, Kapamilya! #CelebrateLove"

The film's lead actress, Angel Locsin, wrote a short message on her Instagram account to thank those who have seen the movie.

The 31-year-old actress wrote, "Maraming salamat po #TheThirdPartyNowShowing #TheThirdParty #LoveWins #CelebrateLove #MasayangKlasengPartyItoPramis #NuodKaNaLangNgTheThirdPartyNgayon."

Sam Milby also expressed his gratitude for fans who have seen their movie via an Instagram post. The 32-year-old Kapamilya actor wrote, "Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nanood kahapon!"

The Third Party,
directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, follows the story of an events manager and aspiring fashion designer named Andi (played by Angel Locsin) who is still hoping to reconnect with her ex-flame and college sweetheart Max (played by Sam Milby).

She later found out that her ex-boyfriend now has a boyfriend named Christian (played by Zanjoe Marudo).

This is Angel's second movie this 2016 following the success of Everything About Her with Xian Lim and Vilma Santos.

The Third Party is also Sam's sophomore movie project for 2016 after starring in Viva Films' Camp Sawi with Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Arci Munoz, Kim Molina, and Andi Eigenmann.

Meanwhile, Zanjoe made a comeback on the big screen after two years. His last movie was Star Cinema's horror flick Maria, Leonora, Teresa which was released in September 2014.
