Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion's much-awaited reunion movie is not happening this 2017.
This is according to the Instagram post of ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumaual earlier today, April 6.
Therese Ramos, Gabby's manager, released a statement to Mario about the movie.
It read: "Gabby Concepcion has always wanted to do a movie with Sharon Cuneta. However due to his tight schedule and current commitments it will not be possible anytime soon. We will study our option in 2018."
This statement came on the heels of Gabby's interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) published last April 3, where he said that he will be prioritizing his projects with GMA, his home network.
At present, Gabby has two shows: the afternoon drama Ika-6 Na Utos and the weekly fantasy-sitcom Tsuperhero, which will end its run soon.
Meanwhile, a tabloid reported last March 5 that Gabby was asking a steep price for his talent fee.
What PEP heard was 10 million pesos, which was not confirmed by Star Cinema.
Does Sharon already know?
In her interview last March 24, she seemed clueless then about the fate of their reunion movie.
She said, “That's the last I heard, tuloy naman daw.”
The last project of Sharon and Gabby was Tayong Dalawa, which was released in cinemas 25 years ago.
