Liza Soberano's upcoming version of Darna is pushing through.
This is according to Star Cinema Advertising and Promotions Head Mico del Rosario, who posted on Instagram a screengrab of a Funfare article.
The Funfare article's title raised the question: "Is Darna shelved?" and says that the movie was already "nabantilawan."
The Star Cinema executive wrote in his caption, "THIS IS NOT TRUE. Spoken already to Tito Ricky Lo and clarify that DARNA has already started shooting. Tuloy na tuloy po ang Darna."
Meanwhile, Darna director Erik Matti posted on Twitter a photo of Liza and the staff of Darna in a meeting.
It also shows a guy whose head was covered by an emoji.
Matti said, "Shelved na Darna? Sino may sabi? Paano ‘to? #Darna #comingsoon @Roxy_Liquigan @micodelrosario"

It was in May 30, 2017 when ABS-CBN and Star Cinema announced that Liza is taking on the role of the iconic Pinay superheroine.
The announcement came days after PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) reported that Liza might be starring in the upcoming Darna movie.
More updates, including its cast members and showing date, are yet to be announced.
