Celebrity friends and colleagues of Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay, Paulo Avelino, and director Ruel Bayani attended the red carpet premiere of their movie Kasal.
The premiere night happened yesterday, May 15, at SM Megamall.
Bea and Paulo's former love team partners, Ian Veneracion and Maja Salvador, showed their support by attending the screening.
Also present were artists of TV shows helmed by Direk Ruel as business unit head: JM de Guzman, Barbie Imperial, and Jane Oineza, to name a few.
A new logo of Star Cinema was also shown in Kasal, which serves as the 25th anniversary offering of ABS-CBN's film arm.
Kasal starts showing in cinemas today, May 16.

The three lead stars were joined by director Ruel S. Bayani, who makes a comeback in directing films after concentrating on being the business unit head of ABS-CBN's RSB Drama Unit.
The movie is Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

Inside the cinema, Ian greeted Bea with a hug before the movie started.

Paulo's former leading lady Maja Salvador (right) was also present at the premiere. She was joined by good friend Kakai Bautista (left) at the red carpet event.
Maja and Paulo worked with each other in the teleserye Bridges of Love (2015) and the movie I'm Drunk I Love You (2017).
Maja also showed support for director Ruel Bayani, the business unit head of her successful drama series Wildflower. The two also worked together in the teleserye Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011).

In the movie, Bea plays Lia, the fiancee of Philip (Paulo Avelino) who is running for Mayor in their town. She is struggling to live up to the expectations of Philip's powerful family.
Before the wedding, Lia faces another challenge: the return of her ex-boyfriend Wado (Derek Ramsay).

Derek posed for a photo beside the poster of Kasal, which serves as his comeback film with Star Cinema after two years.
In the film, he plays Wado, the ex-boyfriend of Lia who tries to win back her love.
Kasal is Derek's reunion with Bea, whom he last worked with in the 2010 series Magkaribal, and Direk Ruel, his director in the 2011 film No Other Woman.

Paulo's character Phillip proposes to Lia (Bea), his long-time crush. The young man who comes from a political family tries his luck by running for Mayor.

JC Alcantara is cast as Paulo Avelino's brother.

JC and Vivoree were photographed together inside the cinema. The two were paired in an episode of Ipaglaban Mo and in a TV commercial. However, the two are currently doing different TV projects.
Vivoree is part of Since I Found You while JC will be seen in the upcoming series Halik.

Miko was part of several teleseryes produced by Direk Ruel's drama unit: Moon of Desire (2014), Tubig at Langis (2016), Magpahanggang Wakas (2016), and Wildflower (2017). He also starred in episodes of RSB Drama Unit's drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo.
