Sid and Aya, the first movie of Anne Curtis and Dingdong Dantes, continues to perform well in the box office amidst stiff competition with Hollywood films.
This Anne-Dingdong movie earned PHP132 million in the Philippine box-office, according to producer Viva Films.
Through an Instagram post of Viva, it was revealed that the movie reached this box-office gross within 13 days.
In the film, Sid (Dingdong) is an insomniac who hires Aya for companionship. While spending long sleepless nights with each other, Aya (Anne) becomes attached to Sid.
Anne and Dingdong first worked together in the hit 1990s teen-oriented TV show T.G.I.S. where they were given different partners. They are reunited for this movie, which is being pitted against Hollywood movies such as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Directed by Irene Villamor, Sid and Aya is graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board and Rated PG by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
In her Instagram account, Anne posted a photo of a sexy costume she wore for the movie. She and Dingdong shot this scene in Tokyo, Japan.
The ABS-CBN actress wrote in the caption: "Siya si Aya. Gago din siya. Have you met your Black Swan yet?"
