Vic Sotto on Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's AlDub: "Hindi mawawala yung friendship, yung loveteam, forever na yun!"

For the first time, Coco Martin, Maine Mendoza, and Vic Sotto will join forces for an upcoming movie for the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival.

The three stars top-bill the MMFF 2018 entry Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had the chance to have an exclusive interview Vic after the July 28 story conference held at Novotel in Cubao. The Eat Bulaga host explained why he thinks it is good for AlDub to do separate projects.

In this MMFF 2018 entry, Maine is cast as the daughter of Vic's character.

What will Maine offer differently in this project compared to other projects she did in the past?

"It's her first time to do this role so definitely something new for her fans.

"Hindi yung dating Maine Mendoza na nakikita nila."

What does he think about Maine doing a separate project from Alden?

"Hindi mawawala yung friendship, yung [AlDub] loveteam, forever na yun!

"Okay lang naman kung may kanya-kanya silang projects every once in a while."

He also said about Maine and Alden:

"You have to expand yung trabaho mo. Hindi ka limitado sa isang daan lang.

"It's for the good of the artist also."

Does he think Maine will quit showbiz?

"I don't think so. Sa tingin ko, napamahal na sa kanya ang showbiz. Minahal siya ng industriya and I think it's just automatic na sa isang tao na you give back.

"I know she's the kind of person na who will always give back to people."
