Alwyn Uytingco among winners of Cinema One Originals Film Fest 2018

Cinema One Originals Film Festival 2018 names Paglisan as Best Picture.

Paglisan, Never Tear Us Apart, and Mamu and A Mother Too are among the big winners of Cinema One Originals Festival 2018. Alwyn Uytingco (left) earned the Best Actor trophy for Asuang while Iyah Mina was named Best Actress for Mamu and a Mother Too.

The 14th edition of the Cinema One Originals Film Festival culminates with an award's night at Dolphy Theater in the ABS-CBN Compound.

Paglisan emerged as the winner for Best Picture. The film directed by Carl Papa also took home the Champion Bughaw Award, Best Screenplay, Best Sound, and Best Music.

Meanwhile, Never Tear Us Apart received the most number of awards that night including Best Cinematography, BEst Editing, and Best Director. It was received the Jury Prize.

Another big winner was Mamu and a Mother Too which took home the Champion Audience Choice Award as well as Best Supporting Actor with Arron Villaflor and Best Actress with Iyah Mina.

Arron Villaflor did a butt exposure scene for the movie Mamu and a Mother Too.

He said in his acceptance speech, "Sana nabigyan po namin kayo ng aral. Para sa pamilyang LGBT ang pelikula. Honestly, before getting this project, I asked if I could read the story first. Still, pinagkatiwalaan niyo ako at naging open po kayo for suggestions."
