The plot of When I Met U is quite unusual since it's not everyday that two people get stranded on an island and start developing feelings for each other. But in the case of Jenny (KC Concepcion) and Benjie (Richard Gutierrez), they only discovered the magic of true love when they first met each other.
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) reviewer Karen Pagsolingan even described When I Met U as the "perfect movie date this Valentine."
Apparently, a lot of people considered the movie to be a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day. For that reason, on that day alone, the Richard and KC-starrer earned P25 million in total gross, according to the producers of the film.
When I Met U, Regal Entertainment and GMA Film's Valentine movie offering, exceeds the expectations of its producers and more importantly, of the fans who waited for the second collaboration of Richard and KC on the silver screen.
Last February 11, hundreds of screaming fans and supporters together with Richard and KC's family and friends filled up SM Megamall's Cinemas 9 and 10 all eager to see what the movie has in store for them.
The movie offered a heartwarming storyline, breathtaking views, and praise-worthy acting not only from the two lead stars but also from supporting cast members Iya Villania and Alfred Vargas. When I Met U is helmed by Joel Lamangan.
When I Met U also stars Cherry Pie Picache, Tirso Cruz III, Chinggoy Alonzo, Chanda Romero, Bubbles Paraiso, Paolo Paraiso, Chariz Solomon, Bearwin Meily and Mavi Lozano, and is now showing in over 100 cinemas nationwide.
