Maja Salvador shares sweet moments with Gerald Anderson during The Legal Performer concert

An excerpt from one of Maja Salvador's touching moments during her concert. "Salamat sa ABS-CBN, dahil kahit sa anong nangyari sa akin, hindi n'yo po ako binitawan. Binigyan n'yo ako ng maraming chances para ipakita ang aking talent."

There was never a dull moment during Maja Salvador's first major concert titled The Legal Performer.

Although she admittedly needs to improve her vocal skills, Maja still delivered for her fans during her sold-out concert at the Music Museum last night, July 12.

She started off with an upbeat J. Lo medley for her opening number, which showcased her undeniable talent on the dance floor.

Her nervousness about singing in her first major concert showed, however, as she worked her way through an acoustic number and "Dahan-Dahan," the carrier single from her Believe album.

“Kinakabahan ako. Pero dapat ma-overcome ko yung kaba ko,” said Maja, as if to remind herself to keep calm, during her opening remarks.

GROOVING WITH FRIENDS. Maja soon warmed up especially when she shared the stage with her “bro” from showbiz, Rayver Cruz.

The fact that they’ve often performed together on ASAP, ABS-CBN's Sunday concert variety show, made it easier for Maja to relax and just enjoy the moment.

Madonna and Justin Timberlake’s “4 Minutes” was a good choice for Maja and Rayver’s production number because it hypes up the fun and happy vibe amongst the audience.

In between performances, Maja proved to be entertaining as she exchanged light banter with her guests.

Maja even ribbed Rayver about getting an eyeful of her skimpy suit at one point during the program.

“Alam kong gustong gusto mo ng mga ganitong outfit. O, mata mo, dun lang [sa audience]! Huwag d’yan sa baba,” said Maja, much to the audience’s laughter.

Likewise, Rayver was good at keeping the audience entertained while Maja went backstage to change clothes.

“Sobrang pinaghandaan [yung production number namin ni Maja]. Sino’ng susunod na number? Si Enchong? I feel so sorry for him,” he exclaimed in jest.

But when Rayver did his solo number, the audience suddenly hushed as they listened to his touching rendition of John Legend’s “All of Me.”

As it turned out, Maja’s sexy production number with former Ina Kapatid Anak co-star Enchong Dee was equally stirring.

The two showcased their smooth dance moves and stunts that called for the crowd’s full attention.

“Yun nga ang gusto ko’ng tanungin, e. Kaya ba ni Rayver yun?” Enchong jokingly exclaimed, referring to Rayver’s earlier challenge against him.

Another good friend of Maja who performed at the concert was Cacai Bautista.

Maja was singing Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been” when Cacai suddenly showed up on stage, wearing the same outfit as Maja.

They proceeded to outshine each other, more for the fun of it than a real competition.

Afterwards, Cacai couldn’t help but quip about their twin outfits: “Ang hirap mag-guest sa concert ng best friend mo. Walang panty sa labas!”

MAJA’S IDOLS. Jaya was supposed to be Maja’s surprise guest in Maj: The Legal Performer concert. But Maja accidentally learned about it beforehand.

“Yung handler ko kasi may pinakatang guide. Sabi raw ni Mr. M [Johnny Manahan]. ‘Wow, ang daming guests. May Piolo [Pascual], may Jaya.’ Sabi ko, ‘Jaya? May Jaya tayo?’ ‘Ay hindi, wala, typo lang,’” Maja narrated.

Maja further shared that Jaya happens to be her favorite singer. “Kasi parang nagagaya ko yung boses niya. So, sabi ko, ‘Ay, may chance yung boses ko.’ Hanggang sa nag-voice lessons na ako, hanggang sa nakuha ko yung tamang timpla [ng boses].”

The veteran Kapuso singer, in return, was very happy to be part of the Kapamilya actress’s first major concert.

“Normally matataas na boses ang iniidolo. So, lagi akong itsapuwera dun. But tonight, you just made me feel so special that you chose to sing like me,” said Jaya.

Maja looked so happy as they performed a duet of Jaya’s hit song, "Laging Naroon Ka."

True enough, Maja is better at singing low-key songs like her versions of "Dahil Nga Ba Sa Kanya" and "Urong-Sulong," which she performed during the earlier part of the concert.

Maj: The Legal Performer concert wouldn’t be complete without Maja's The Legal Wife co-star Jericho Rosales.

He came up on stage while Maja was singing the teleserye’s theme song “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.”

Maja acknowledged that the recently-concluded primetime soap opened doors of opportunities for her, including the chance to pursue a singing career.

She was also grateful to Jericho for being such a great leading man on and off cam.

They’ve become such good friends to the point that Jericho volunteered to be part of Maja’s concert.

Their duet of One Republic’s "Counting Stars" was a good choice of song to sustain the energy of the crowd.

Meanwhile, Maja also didn’t miss the chance to invite her celebrity crush, Piolo Pascual, to her concert.

When it was Piolo’s turn on stage, he asked Maja if her boyfriend Gerald Anderson is around so he can ask for permission to hug her.

But Maja avoided speaking about Gerald, insisting that her full attention is on Piolo right that moment.

Inspired by Piolo’s kilig team-up with Toni Gonzaga, Maja proceeded to sing "Starting Over Again" with the country’s ultimate heartthrob.

Interestingly, Maja didn’t acknowledge Gerald’s presence throughout the concert.

It was only during the latter part did she finally say: “At siyempre [salamat] sa nagmamay-ari ng puso ko…”

Prior to event, the Kapamilya actress had been very vocal in saying that she didn’t want her boyfriend to attend her concert because she would only get nervous.

It was the reason why Gerald chose to sit discreetly at the right-side orchestra of the Music Museum, where Maja won’t easily see him.

But he proudly joined Maja on stage when she performed Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper," the Kapamilya actress's second to the last song number.

In a rare public display of affection, Gerald sweetly embraced Maja, who in turn, kept hugging him back.

Overcome with emotions, Maja told the crowd how lucky she is to have found a protective boyfriend like Gerald.

It’s no secret that the couple went through a lot of controversies, following their admission about their budding romance back in the early part of 2013.

“Gusto ko lang i-share. Madamot man po kami [ni Gerald] sa mga interviews namin o kung saan man, pero masaya po ako na grabe niya ako protektahan.

“Kung puwede ko lang po sabihin ng detalyado pero siyempre sa amin na lang po yun. Pero napakaswerte ko po,” said Maja while holding Gerald’s hands.

After sharing sweet moments with her boyfriend, Maja capped the concert with the perfect party song, "Clarity."
