GMA-7 singer Hannah Precillas is one of the five Filipino contestants competing in the singing contest Dangdut Academy Asia 5.
Hannah is best known for winning the Kapuso network's reality talent show Bet ng Bayan in 2014.
In Dangdut Academy, Hannah is competing against 29 other singers from Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Timor Leste, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Dangdut is a genre of Indonesian folk popular music that combines elements of Hindustani, Arabic, and Malay folk music.
According to GMA News, Hannah and her fellow Filipino singers Joshua Manio, Renz Fernando, Sheemee Buenaobra, and Shello de Castr are now undergoing workshops and vocal training in dangdut.
