Kamikazee to disband after 2015

Kamikazee, the band behind the songs "Narda" and "Tsinelas," said their breakup is not caused by a fight.

Pinoy rock band Kamikazee will disband after 2015.

The band behind the songs "Narda," "Tsinelas" and "Chiksilog" announced their breakup through a video posted on their official Facebook account earlier today, January 25.

Kamikazee is composed of vocalist Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao and Led Tuyay on guitars, Jason "Puto" Astete on bass, and Allan "Bords" Burdeos on drums.

In the video, the band members thanked all their fans who have been supporting them for the past 14 years.

Frontman Jay Contreras said in the video: "Bale ngayon, nagdesisyon po kaming lima na ngayong 2015, ito na muna po ang huling taon na magkakasama tayo dahil gusto naming subukan yung buhay buhay sa labas ng banda."

According to the group, it was a mutual decision made by all of them and it was not triggered by a fight among them.

“Huwag po kayong mag-alala, wala po kaming away sa loob ng banda. Masaya kami sa desisyon na ginawa namin,” the band added.

The pop punk band has released four albums in the past: Kamikazee (2002), Maharot (2006), Long Time Noisy (2009) and Romantico (2012).
