It’s a song that reminds people about the origins of the season: celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
But when Jose Mari’s record producer asked him to write another track for his seminal Christmas album in 1990—this time a secular song that is more radio friendly—the singer-songwriter got to work.
“A Perfect Christmas” is the result of that request: a romantic holiday tune that he said took him only two days to write.
