It's official! OPM boy group SB19's song "Bazinga" now holds the record for the longest-staying track at No. 1 in BillBoard's Hot Trending Songs chart.
The five-member pop group composed of Pablo, Stell, Justin, Ken, and Josh has surpassed the six-week record set by "Butter" of global supergroup BTS on the Twitter-driven chart.
As of Tuesday, January 25, 2022, BillBoard's website shows that the group's third single from their 2021 extended play album Pagsibol has spent 7 weeks at No. 1 spot and 12 weeks on the chart.
The hashtag #SB19LeadsBillboardHTS became a trending topic on Twitter shortly after the confirmation.
The group expressed their gratitude towards their fans' unwavering support in a tweet on "THANK YOU A'TIN!"
SB19 rose to popularity after their sophomore single "Go Up" went viral on social media in 2019.
The group gained worldwide popularity and made history for being the first Filipino act to debut on the Billboard Social 50, a weekly "ranking of the most active artists on the world's leading social networking sites."
SB19 later placed sixth on Billboard Top 50 Social Artists of 2020.
