The One Direction concerts in Manila will push through even though Zayn Malik is no longer part of the lineup.
Organizers have confirmed to PEP that the March 21 and March 22 concerts will push through amid calls from 1D fans to reschedule the event slated to take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
They "cannot move" the concert dates anymore. After performing in the Philippines, the Irish-English boy band is slated to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia on March 25.
Zayn will no longer join One Direction members--Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan--as they perform for the Manila leg of their On The Road Again (OTRA) world tour.
The band's publicist tweeted a statement confirming the news.
The Twitter post goes: "1D statement: Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

WHAT FANS ARE SAYING. The departure of "stressed out" Zayn has prompted Filipino fans to react to this missed opportunity to finally see their idol.
Here are some comments from One Directioners posted on Twitter:

Others made light of the situation by pointing out the irony that could be seen in a studio shot of the One Direction boys.
The members of 1D wore Pilipinas jerseys as part of their pictorial shoot. In one layout, Zayn is standing a short distance away from his bandmates while he points his finger at them.
