Kim Seokjin, better known as Jin of K-pop sensation BTS, could be collaborating with Coldplay!
According to the report made by South Korean media outlet Ten Asia earlier today, October 18, 2022, Jin's solo single is a song gifted by the British rock band.
It is expected to be released by the end of October.
Coldplay previously collaborated with BTS for the single "My Universe" last year.
The report read (published as is), "British band Coldplay presented a song for BTS member Jin.
"As a result of the Ten Asia coverage on the 18th, Jin's solo song in collaboration with Coldplay will be released within this month.
"Jin announced [his] solo activities at the Busan concert at the 2030 World Expo held last October 15, and said, 'I ended up singing something thanks to a fortunate connection with someone I am a fan of.'
They added, "The artist accompanying Jin's solo single is Coldplay. Coldplay gifted the song to Jin."
BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT RESPONDS
However, the agency managing BTS has yet to confirm the reported collaboration between Jin and Coldplay.
In a report by South Korean media outlet Soompi, Big Hit Entertainment released a statement asking for the public's understanding, assuring fans that "the exact details of the date and time, collaboration, and more will be revealed later."
The announcement of Jin's upcoming single comes after Big Hit Entertainment confirmed that BTS is set to enlist for mandatory military service.

While the agency did not disclose specific dates for each member's enlistment, they assured that all members will serve their military duty, starting with the boy group's oldest member Jin, 29.
Meanwhile, following the announcement of the reported collaboration between Jin and Coldplay, "Jin X Coldplay" became a trending topic on Twitter.

Filipino Armies tweeted their support and excitement for the possible collaboration.






Coldplay is composed of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. The British band is known for the hit songs “The Scientist,” “Fix You,” "Hymn for the Weekend," and “Yellow,” among others.
