Boyce Avenue's concert at the Araneta Coliseum last night, February 11, 2023, was an early Valentine treat.

Once again, the Manzano brothers mesmerized the Pinoy crowd with their nakaka-in love na harana.

It was a night made not just for couples in love, but also for those who simply enjoy great music.

The trio held the second leg of their three-night concert series at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu earlier, February 12, and will head to Davao's SMX Convention Center on February 14.

Here are the highlights of the Manila leg.

1. The repertoire carried familiar tunes that got the crowd SCREAMING AND singing.

Out of the 20 songs, the most applauded were their covers of The Police's "Every Breath You Take," Ben King's "Stand By Me," Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn," Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years," James Arthur's "Say You Won't Let Go," Adele's "Easy on Me," Coldplay's "Yellow," and their final song, Goo Goo Doll's "Iris."

2. ALEJANDRO'S SINGING WAS CONSISTENTLY GOOD THROUGHOUT THE ONE-HOUR-AND-A-HALF CONCERT

This was said to be the group's 11th time here in the Philippines since their first concert in 2009, and this writer had watched four of their previous concerts.

One constant thing about the lead vocalist: he could get the people to sing along with him, but he could also hush them to keep quiet and just listen.

Many times during the show, some concertgoers were shushing those who were singing so they could clearly hear Alejandro's vocals.

Wala siyang kupas!

3. FRONT ACTS PA LANG, SULIT NA!

O.P.M. hitmakers Adie, Nobita, and The Juans did a good job setting the mood for the show.

The latter's "Ihahatid Kita" was the younger audience's favorite jam.

Adie's "Giliw" was so chill. This writer felt, "Nasa beach ako!"

Nobita's "Unang Sayaw" version that evening had a quite-melancholic twist, and it was still good.

Overall, it was the best Valentine harana and a soothing escape on a Saturday.
