Will Sandara Park and her 2NE1 group members disband soon?

2NE1—composed of Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy—last visited the Philippines in May 2014 for their All or Nothing World Tour.

Is 2NE1 going to disband soon?

Rumors are currently circulating online that the four-member K-pop girl group composed of Lee Chaerin (FL), Park Bom, Gong Minzy, and Sandara Park is on the road to disbandment after two years of hiatus.

According to a report by TV Daily, 2NE1's contract with YG Entertainment will expire soon and Minzy is planning to sign up with a new agency.

The news report as translated by Allkpop.com said, "2NE1's contract with YG is soon about to end, and it's highly possible that they are going to be disbanding. In fact, Minzy was about to sign with a new label already, but it did not happen due to disagreement in financial settlements."

Minzy has not been active in the K-pop scene recently but she opened a dance studio in 2015. Dara, on the other hand, has been busy with her acting stints in South Korea. CL is preparing for her U.S. debut. Meanwhile, Park Bom is taking a break after her alleged drug scandal broke out in June 2014.

Last Sunday, April 3, Bom was spotted with Dara at a theme park in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Dara visited the Philippines for endorsement events and Bom followed her to this country. Dara and Bom also visited Tagaytay City.

2NE1's last activity in the K-pop scene was back in December 2015 for the Mnet Asian Music Awards. The band released their last album titled Crush in 2014. YG Entertainment has yet to release an official statement regarding these speculations.

In 2015, the band was also rumored to break up but YG Entertainment dismissed the rumors.

Allkpop.com were quoted the entertainment agency saying, "The rumors of 2NE1's disbandment are not worth responding to. We were surprised to hear them. They don't make sense at all. 2NE1 are even planning to release a new song this year."
