Sorry, Coldplay fans, the British rock band will not be arriving in the Philippines this November.

However, they are confirmed to be performing in Manila in 2017!

The anthemic rock band U2 will also be definitely performing in Manila next year.

The dates and venues of the concerts of Coldplay and U2 have not yet been disclosed but as early as last year, Filipinos have been anticipating the arrival of these iconic bands.

Coldplay will have a Manila leg for its A Head Full of Dreams concert tour, which is the seventh world tour of the British alternative rock band.

The 2017 concert of Coldplay will mark its first performance in the Philippines. Coldplay—composed of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion—was formed in 1996 in London, England.

The seven-time Grammy award winning rock band is known for its hits "Yellow," "Speed of Sound, "Viva La Vida," "Paradise," "Fix You," "In My Place," "Clocks," and "A Sky Full of Stars."

The band’s seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams, was nominated for British Album of the Year.

U2—composed of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr.—will also be performing for their Pinoy fans in 2017.

The Irish rock band is known for hit songs such as "With or Without You," "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "Pride (In The Name Of Love)," "Beautiful Day," "Desire," among others.

U2, which won 22 Grammy Awards in its 40-year-career, holds the record for most Grammy Awards won by a group.

After releasing 13 studio albums, U2 is considered one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 170 million records worldwide.

In 2005, U2 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, while Rolling Stone ranked U2 at No. 22 on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time."
