"Titibo-Tibo," interpreted by Moira Dela Torre, emerged as the Best Song of Himig Handog 2017.
The grand finals was held today, November 26, at ABS-CBN's noontime musical variety program ASAP.
The Himig Handog award of P1 million pesos went to the grand prize winner, which was accepted by composer Libertine Amistoso and Moira.
Both Libertine and Moira were teary-eyed upon receiving their award.
Meanwhile, the song "Tayo Na Lang Kasi" by Jason Dy and Kyla did not receive any place in the Top 5 songs, but they won three special awards.
In this year's edition, 10 songs were chosen to compete as the Best Song.
The competing entries were (in order of ASAP Performance): Inigo Pascual ft. Aikee for "Extensyon" composed by Michael "Aikee" Aplacador; Migz Haleco for "Bes" by Eric De Leon, Morissette Amon for "Naririnig Mo Ba?" by LJ Manzano and Joan Da; Kaye Cal for "The Labo Song" by Karl Gumano and Teddy Katigbak, and Jake Zyrus for "Bagyo" by Agat Morallos.
Completing the list of interpreters are Unit 406 for "Tanghaling Tapat" by Gabriel Tagadtad; Jason Dy and Kyla for "Tayo Na Lang Kasi" by Soc Villanueva; Moira Dela Torre for "Titibo-Tibo" by Libertine Amistoso; Janella Salvador for "Wow Na Feelings" by Karlo Zabala, and Jona for "Sampu" by Raizo Chabeldin and Biv De Vera.
