Simula niya, “For the longest time I’ve always just been very shy and it took a while for me to come out and pursue music.

“I was only signed in 2015 and I’m officially released my music in 2017. I was signed in 2015-2016. Ah, no, in 2016.

“I was signed by Universal Records in 2016 and I also started working with Cornerstone Entertainment.

“I officially released my first single in May of 2017 and it also took a while for me to release something because I was balancing school and music.”

Paano ka na-discover as a singer?

Sagot niya, “Actually, I made my own efforts. I told my Mom that I wanted to be a singer. I always wanted to be a singer but I was always too shy to really get into it. So, when I was around 15 [years old], mga three years ago I told my Mom that wanted to pursue music.

“And then we started talking to record labels. They listen to my demos and then we ended up signing with Universal and the rest is history.”

Napangiti muna si Claudia bago sumagot, “I’m pretty sure it helped me in some ways but to some extent I think more than anything the record label and the management also saw the passion that I had for music, and though I was really shy and it was hard for me to really express myself singing in front of people, I couldn’t even sing in front of them, like I had to record in the studio and then they gave me an hour to record in the studio and then we played the demo for time right after.”

Patuloy pa ng 18-year-old newbie, “I think they just felt how sincere I was about it because I really was and I think that was a very big factor more than just I am a Barretto and more than because my family was already in the show business, I think it’s because of my passion.”

Pag-amin niya,“Yes! No matter how little or big the audience is, I still get nervous. I think that’s what I am working on this year.

“I’m doing mall show. I’m rehearsing some more. I’m taking vocal lessons. I’m doing everything I can, I’m exhausting all the possibility. So that I can really enhance my talent.”

Paglilinaw niya sa impression ng lahat na ayaw niyang mag-artista, “I never say never.

“But for now I think I wanna focus on music since it’s really my passion and it’s what I gravitate towards more and I’m too shy to venture into something new.

“So, for now let’s focus on this muna.”

Sagot ni Claudia, “Well, for now I’m only 18 and I have my whole life ahead of me. I think for now I just wanna have fun with my passion and not really focus on the job ahead of it all coz I’m still young.

“But I do understand the responsibilities that come along with it and it also a job and I have to be mature and grow up a little quick and everyone else because people are watching me.

“For now, I think more than enjoying the perks of money or fame, I think I’m just enjoying being able to express myself.”
