KZ Tandingan was eliminated from Singer 2018 on Friday, March 16.

For her final appearance on the Chinese reality singing competition, the Filipino singer performed Lorde's "Royals" while wearing a green blazer decorated with orange tassels.

Jessie J, her fellow competitor, described the Pinoy singer by saying, "She's amazing."

When she learned that she was eliminated, KZ cried as she said: "I will never forget this experience."

"My tears are a mix of happy and sad tears because I'm going to miss all of you. I hope to see you guys again. I love you."

In an interview prior to her performance, KZ recalled that they did not have enough money to have a door installed in their house so they used plywood to serve as a temporary door.

She was emotional as she recalled the time when she discovered that she had a polyp that prevented her from hitting the high notes.

Aside from KZ, James Li was booted out during the double elimination episode.

In her Twitter account, KZ expressed her thoughts about not making it to the grand finals in China:

"I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. Im going home tomorrow with a happy heart.

"This won’t be the last time the world will hear a filipino sing her heart out.

"Thank You Lord! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!"
