“We really have to work around the situation.”
This was response of singer Morissette Amon when she experience mishaps during performances.
This happened recently when she failed to make a whistle while singing Regine Velasquez's “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka.”
Instead of crying or walking out, Asia's Phoenix handled the situation with finesse, and she was actually applauded not only by audiences that night but also by netizens who watched her viral video.
“Parang it came in the moment lang po talaga.
“Like I said, noong time po na 'yon, anything can really happen when it's live, e,” Morissette told entertainment reporters during the press conference of her and Lani Misalucha's concert titled A Lani Morissette held recently.
“It can never really be super perfect but it's just accepting that things like that can happen.
“We're humans and we can learn from that experience sa next.
PERFORMING WITH A MUSIC ICON
Morissette is set to give powerful performance again with Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha during their A Lani Morissette concert at The Theatre at Solaire Resort and Casino on September 22 and 23.
As early as now, Morissette admits that she already feels nervous and pressured to be singing with one of the local music industry's icons.
“The idea lang na makakasama ko si Ms. Lani sa isang stage is pressure na po talaga,” she said.
“I know na as a performer, si Ms. Lani gives much to her audience.
“Ako naman, I just want to equal that para mag-complement din po sa energy din ni Ms. Lani.
“That's an honor for me talaga, as a new artist or artist ngayon na bago-bago, makasama po ang isang icon talaga.
She stressed, however, “It's a pressure, but it's good pressure kasi it pushes me to be able to give my best.”
A NIGHT OF SHOWDOWN
Concertgoers can expect a showdown between the two belters Lani and Morissette.
Siyempre, yung mga tao, 'Wow, this is something really to look forward to.'
However, Lani clarified that the show's main purpose is to celebrate their jouney as singers through music.
“Ang gusto lang din naming mai-showcase o masabi doon sa lahat na nag-e-expect ng mga ganun, our show is going to be a lovely show.
“We are going to feature the story that happened in our lives, the adventures that we went through to reach this certain point in our lives.
“Really, it's just going to be sharing our story through our beautiful singing and beautiful music.”
