Wency Cornejo will perform with other '90s artists at the '90s Overload concert to be held today at The Theatre at Solaire.

Musikal nAPO!

"That is one of the things na gusto kong gawin very soon. College pa lang ako, it's been a dream of mine talaga.

"I want to go back to writing new songs and to create a musical is one of the things na nasa bucket list ko," pahayag ni Wency sa mediacon ng throwback concert titled '90s Overload kunsaan tampok siya and other '90s musical artists.

"I will let somebody do that.

“Even my manager, David Cosico wants something like that.

"But I don’t want it do be like some sort of self-aggrandizement. I’d rather write another musical. Yung pinaghirapan ko talagang gawin.

"I’d prefer another person doing the After Image musical. If a theater company is interested in using the songs of After Image, I’d gladly give my permission. But you’ll have to go to Viva which owns the publishing rights of our songs,” diin pa niya.

Nag-release ng apat na album ang After Image na Touch the Sun (1992); Tag-Ulan, Tag-Araw (1994); Bagong Araw (1996), at Our Place Under the Sun (2008).

"The business in Davao was doing very well until naisipan ko na bumalik ulit ako sa music scene. Nag-reunite kami ulit ng After Image in 2008 and we recorded a comeback album for Viva Records."

Muli ngang mapapanood si Wency sa '90s Overload sa The Theatre @ Solaire ngayong Sabado, November 17. The event is the second installment of the '90s music concert series na '90s Live noong July 22, 2017

Makakasama ni Wency ang mga nakasabayan niyang musicians in the '90s na sina Paco Arespacochaga of Introvoys, Lei Bautista of Prettier In Pink, Jek Manuel of IAXE Band, Stephen Lu of Rizal Underground, Perf de Castro of Rivermaya, Naldy Padilla of Orient Pearl, Cooky Chua of Color It Red, Myra Ruaro of Put3ska, Glenn Jacinto of Teeth, Dodong Cruz of The Youth, at Noel Palomo of Siakol.

Magbibigay pugay sila sa tinatawag nilang grand daddy of OPM alternative rock music na si Jett Pangan of The Dawn.

“Most of us would look up to Jett Pangan as the father of this generation.

"Technically he wasn’t part of our generation. Ang ka-batch ng The Dawn was Rage band, Neocolors and Identity Crisis, ‘yang mga 'yan.

"Sila yung nag-start from mid-'80s and spilled over to our time. So kung may musician kaming hinahangaan at naging inspirasyon, it’s always been Jett,” pagtapos pa ni Wency Cornejo.
