GMA-7 artist and The Clash finalist Anthony Rosaldo is the first among his batchmates to release a single and music video.
GMA Music, the network's record label (formerly called GMA Records), launched the music video of Anthony's song, "Larawan Mo," last February 7.
Kapuso leading lady Kris Bernal was featured as Anthony's leading lady in the music video.
In a short Instagram conversation with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on February 25, Anthony recalled how he asked Kris to be part of his first music video.
He said, "First choice ko talaga si Kris bilang napakagaling niyang umarte at napakaganda niya.
"Thankful lang talaga ako kasi pumayag siya sa request ko. If hindi siya, I don’t know, baka maghahanap pa talaga yung team ko ng iba. So super swerte ko na pumayag sya agad."
How was it like working with Kris?
"Sarap niya ka-work! As in. Di ako nahirapan makapalagayan siya. Super professional.
"I think natuto pa nga ako from her, e. Not the first time naman na magmeet kami. Nakakasama ko na din sya sa GMA madalas," said Anthony about the actress who stars in the afternoon series, Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko.
The song "Larawan Mo," composed by Racquel Gutierrez, John Gerald Ajero, Jonn Walter Dumagan, talks about the point of view of being a third party in a relationship, as shown in the music video.
Anthony said that the song was actually composed based on his own experiences in the past.
"Hugot na hugot talaga 'yan. Kasi the song was written for me.
"Based 'yan sa past experience ko. Nagmahal sa girl na may boyfriend na. Ganyan, hehe."
But in the end, just like the message of the song, Anthony chose what is right.
He continued, "Pero yun nga, parang we also tried to show na not because third party ka masama ka.
"It depends sa sitwasyon—kadalasan, hindi mo alam, or nahulog ka lang talaga.
"In the end, nasa sa 'yo if you choose the right path."
After Anthony Rosaldo, The Clash finalists Jong Madaliday and Garrett Bolden also released their own singles.
The Clash grand winner Golden Canedo, on the other hand, was tapped to perform the theme song of GMA-7's new teleserye, Kara Mia.
