They all have remarkable voices. They have stunning looks. They all have what it takes to become a superstar. But only one of the nine Pinoy Pop Superstar grand finalists can make their dream come true at the much awaited Grand Showdown this June 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Pinoy Pop Superstar Year 3 contenders are Joyce Tañaña (Pampanga), Marvin Gagarin (Nueva Ecija), Jennie Escalada (Navotas), Maricris Garcia (Caloocan City), Miguel Naranjilla (Malabon City), Bryan Termulo (Bulacan), Louie Abaigar (Olongapo City), April delos Santos (Pampanga), and World Challenger Jae Buensuceso (San Francisco, California).
The nine grand contenders are not only competing for the grand title but for the grand prizes including one million in cash, a house and lot from Avida Land Corporation, one-year recording contract with GMA Records, one year management contract with GMA Network, an Informatics scholarship, plus wardrobe from Pepsi Herrera and Edwin Tan worth PhP50, 000.
Performances in the nationwide road shows held in Iloilo, Manila, Pampanga and Cebu represent the 20% of the overall rating of each grand finalist, and text votes represent another 20%. The remaining 60% of the overall score will be based on the powerful performances of the grand finalists during the June 2 Grand Showdown in Araneta Coliseum.
Except for Jae Buensuceso, who emerged winner in the battle of World Challengers for a slot in the grand finals, this year’s local grand finalists have been promoting their album titled Pinoy Pop Superstar Year 3 The Finalists’ Album. Released by GMA Records, the Finalists’ Album has 17 tracks, including eight songs chosen by the grand finalists with the corresponding minus-one versions. The said album also contains the inspiring song "Reach," a Gloria Estefan original that features a harmonious pop rendition of the grand finalists.
The show will be hosted by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, who also won in a talent search. Find out who among the nine grand finalists will outshine them all in the Pinoy Pop Superstar Year 3 Grand Showdown on June 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
There can only be one Pinoy Pop Superstar!
