Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz are both Star Magic talents who have known each other for several years. They previously worked together in the teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man (Ang Pagbabalik) in 2007 but their closeness really began when they filmed scenes for a movie in Vietnam last April.
Angelica admitted that her interactions with JLC felt “forced” in the past. The ABS-CBN actress even described the Box-Office King as “masungit” and "mysterious." However, all of these changed when Angelica and John Lloyd became a couple earlier this year.
Now, Angelica describes her relationship with John Lloyd as “out of this world.” In a previous interview, she was quoted as saying: “Hindi mo nga alam na nag-e-exist pala yung ganung klaseng happiness.”

During the November 3 episode of Showbiz Inside Report, TV host Carmina Villarroel asked Angelica to recall the beginning of her friendship with her new boyfriend. Carmina asked: “Ever since magkakilala na kayo ni Lloydie?”
Angelica pointed out: “Oo, sila pa ni Kaye Abad [referring to JLC’s former girlfriend].
"Pag nagkikita kami, 'Hi, hello.' Pag kailangan magtabi, medyo forced yung usap, small talk.
"Pero never kami yung may bonding, or lalabas kami, hindi talaga."
MYSTERIOUS LEADING MAN. In 2007, Angelica and John Lloyd became co-stars in the Kapamilya teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man (Ang Pagbabalik).
Angelica admits that she felt “intimidated” working with the actor.
"Nung ka-eksena ko siya dati sa Maging Sino Ka Man, [iniisip ko] 'Kaya ko ba 'to?'
Angelica agreed by saying, “Yes, mysterious talaga.
FROM ONSCREEN TO OFF-SCREEN ROMANCE. Earlier this year, Angelica and her former boyfriend Derek Ramsay ended their six-year relationship. For his part, John Lloyd also parted ways with his former girlfriend Shaina Magdayao.
Carmina asked Angelica if working on the movie 24/7 In Love earlier this year helped Angelica and John Lloyd see each other in a different light.
"Kakaibang experience yung naranasan namin doon.
Working together abroad helped Angelica realize that John Lloyd was a "good listener."
"May lalaki palang ganoon.
Angelica said that this trip helped them discover topics that they could both relate to.
Angelica was accompanied by her close friend, Patty Yap, during the shooting in Vietnam.
WHAT ANGELICA LIKES MOST ABOUT JOHN LLOYD. When asked to describe the qualities that she likes most about John Lloyd, Angelica jokingly said, “Pahawak muna ng hair…”
She continued: “Maasikaso, e.
“Sobra! Hindi koi ne-expect na ganun siya. Hanggan ngayon, hindi ako makapaniwala.”
In a previous interview, John Lloyd described his relationship now with Angelica as “walang pressure, napakagaan, napaka-fluid.”

How did they achieve this kind of relationship?
In addition, Angelica believes that they clicked because: “mas mature na yung relationship.
Before her interview ended, Angelica talked about the movie 24/7 in Love, which will be screened in cinemas this November 21.
“Tungkol siya sa end of the world,” said Angelica. “May isang question: paano kung bukas end of the world na? Anong gagawin mo? Iba-iba, may last chance, may second chance, may pwede ka pang baguhin.”
This romantic comedy marks the first time that the tandem of Angelica and John Lloyd will be seen on the big screen.
There are several sub-plots about love that will featured in this omnibus film that marks the beginning of Star Magic’s year-long celebration for its 20th anniversary.
24/7 in Love also stars Bea Alonzo, Zanjoe Marudo, Diether Ocampo, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Jewel Mische, Pokwang, Xyriel Manabat, Zaijian Jaranilla, and Piolo Pascual.
