Meg Imperial poses topless for teleserye pictorial; reveals her love scene with Dominic Roque was removed by MTRCB

Meg Imperial was handpicked by Charo Santos Concio to star in the afternoon soap opera Moon of Desire. This sexy drama series will air its pilot episode on March 31, 2014.

Meg Imperial was ten years old when she started trying out for bit roles in TV and movie projects.

Now 21 years old, the actress is now being launched as Ayla, the lead character in ABS-CBN's sexy drama series Moon of Desire that will premiere on March 31.

She will be paired with JC de Vera, Dominic Roque, and model-turned-actor Miko Raval. Ellen Adarna is cast as the kontrabida in this afternoon soap opera directed by FM Reyes.

In the teaser of the program shown last January, Ayla is shown having thick hair on her face and all over her body. As a young child, she undergoes treatment to rid her body of the excessive hair. Carmi Martin's character repeatedly tells Ayla that no one will accept her because of her unusual appearance.

During the March 12 press conference of Moon of Desire held at the ABS-CBN compound, Meg explained why her character is afflicted with excessive hair.

"It's hypertrichosis or abnormal hair growth sa katawan ng tao.

Hypertrichosis is defined as "excessive, abnormal hairiness that may be localized or cover the entire body," according to Britannica.com

She revealed that it takes 3-4 hours to put on the prosthetics needed for her character.

SEXY BUT INNOCENT STAR. In the new teaser of Moon of Desire, a flawless Meg is seen wearing a black bikini.

The 21-year-old actress is no stranger to showing her skin since she starred in the 2013 sexy flick Menor de Edad. She also did a sexy pictorial as the cover girl of FHM's December 2012 issue.

Meg was a talent of TV5 before she became a Kapamilya in February 2013. She previously starred in the Kapatid Network's Midnight DJ, My Driver Sweet Lover, Bagets, The Sisters, and Glamorosa.

When asked what made her agree to show her daring side on television, she pointed out: "Ito po ang magiging launching ko sa TV.

However, she stressed that she still has limitations given her "sexy but innocent" image.

Desirable ako in an innocent way."

How far will she go in this afternoon soap opera?

Abangan n'yo, maganda kasi."

LOVE SCENE WITH DOMINIC ROQUE. Meg revealed that she already shot a love scene with Dominic Roque but it was not shown to the public because of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

She narrated: "Weird siya kasi may buhok ako nung ginagawa namin.

It's not super malaswa...nakapatong and may kissing. Pinatanggal kasi siguro kasi pang TV.

Is Dominic a good kisser? "Mahusay naman po siya," she said with a smile.

As for JC de Vera, she has shot a kissing scene with him already. JC is cast as a childhood friend who becomes separated from Ayla (played by Meg).

Meg considers Dominic's character as her "superhero" while she describes Miko's character as a mysterious guy.

She then meets Ellen's character when they are introduced by JC.

HANDPICKED BY TOP EXECUTIVE. Why did ABS-CBN choose Meg as the lead actress of Moon of Desire?

Business unit head Ruel Bayani disclosed that ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio handpicked Meg to be launched in this TV series.

"The truth is that she was chosen to be launched for this project and there was no second choice. We went through casting and we said na pinakabagay talaga sa kanya.

"Ang bida namin fresh face dahil she earned it. Galing siya sa Galema [where she played a kontrabida] at magaling rin siya dun.

"Sabi ni Ma'am Charo, she has a very unique face and sensual face. She's really hot."

When Meg heard this she said that she felt even more pressured to do well in her launching TV series.

Last year lang ako nag-sign with ABS-CBN.
