Judy Ann Santos is set to portray her first bida-kontrabida role on television via the fantasy series, Starla.
She divulged this in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last March 16 at Shangri-La Hotel, Bonifacio Global City.
When PEP.ph asked her if she's excited to portray a mean role, Juday exclaimed, "Oo, oo, excited ako talaga!
In her past teleseryes, Judy Ann used to portray impoverished, kind-hearted characters, like her roles in Mara Clara (1992-1997) and Esperanza (1999-2001).
However, she said about her new role, "Pero magastos itong show na ito, ha!
"On that note, parang ito na ata yung huli kong teleseryeng dapat mayaman ako!
She added, "Pero for a change, ngayon lang ako umaabala sa look.
"Mahirap pala maging maldita. Masakit siya sa leeg!"
Since the ABS-CBN show is targeted to children, Judy Ann looks forward to watching the show with her kids Yohan, Lucho, and Luna.
"Yun nga lang, maninibago sila because mommy is not a good person doon sa simula."
NOT IN A RUSH
During Judy Ann's March 7 Live Q&A for her online show Judy Ann's Kitchen, a netizen asked about the airing date of her TV comeback.
She only answered with a smile, "Kung kailan po, only the management knows.
PEP.ph asked Judy Ann during the exclusive interview if she is becoming impatient for the airing of Starla.
After all, they started taping last June 2018, and it has been six years since Juday did her last teleserye.
It may be recalled that Judy Ann's 2010 teleserye, Habang May Buhay, took three years before being aired on ABS-CBN.
Right now, the 40-year-old actress is just enjoying each taping day, especially since it reunites her with her former co-stars in her previous teleseryes and films.
"I’m enjoying my taping kasi nga I’m working again with tatay Joel Torre, with Raymart Santiago.
"Iba yung character ko, as in sobrang iba yung character ko. as in bago siya sa akin.
Judy Ann is pertaining to Mark Anthony Fernandez's son Grae Fernandez and Star Magic Circle 2018 member Chantal Videla.
The two child stars who are part of the cast are Enzo Pelojero and Alex Baena.
"So, lahat ng tao nag-uusap, lahat nagchichikahan.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce Starla's airing date.
Judy Ann Santos will reveal more interesting stories and trivia about her old teleseryes in an upcoming PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) special feature to be published this April.
