StarStruck Season 7 hopeful Rere Madrid is currently embroiled in personal issues involving her and her fellow StarStruck finalists.

This stemmed from the vote-out session that was aired in the July 14, 2019 episode.

For the first time, the finalists were given a chance to open up about the hopeful they want to get booted out of the competition.

Rere, who is known as the younger sister of GMA-7 actor Ruru Madrid, got the highest number of votes.

Among those who voted her out of the competition were Lexi Gonzales, Shayne Sava, Dani Porter, and Pamela Prinster.

Pamela Prinster's reason for voting out Rere Madrid came from the incident during the July 6 episode of the show.

Rere and Pamela were paired for their artista test, allowing them to face the StarStruck council together.

Council member Heart Evangelista asked both of them, "Umpisa pa lang, ayusin na natin. Are you guys close?"

Pamela, who smiled after hearing the question, answered, "I think we're friends!"

She then looked at Rere who laughed with her and said, "Feeling ko friends naman tayo!"

Heart then said, "You guys seem very okay, which is great. Parang competition, is there anything like that? Or are you threatened or anything?"

Pamela answered, "I think the reason why we are threatened is kasi they're always comparing us, e.

Council member Cherie Gil told them, "But parang they know, hindi kayo close."

Rere then answered, "Hindi, ito, to be honest, siguro these past few days siguro, medyo hindi po ganun kami ka-close like before."

Heart advised them, "Sometimes pag masyadong nagiging apart, lalong nagiging masama, tapos nadagdagan ng kung anu-ano. So umpisa pa lang ayusin niyo na because you both are beautiful, equally talented."

Afer the voting session was aired yesterday, host Jennylyn Mercado asked Rere about her situation with Pamela.

Jennylyn gave Rere a chance to defend herself from the other hopefuls's reasons for voting her out.

Rere then faced the StarStruck council with her groupmates Shayne Sava and Dani Porter, who also chose to vote her out of the contest.

Cherie asked Rere how she feels knowing that the survivors chose to vote her out of the artista search.

"Rere, if I may ask a question, what do you feel about the fact that they chose you, five of them, to be out?"

Rere wasn't able to finish her answer because she started to get teary-eyed.

Cherie then told her, "May katotohanan ba yung mga sinasabi nila about you?

"I'm just curious because this is a very important process to learn and it's a competition like you said, and I have to share with you also, if I may, my insights in this whole 40 years in the industry.

"And it's very important also to be able to understand that even in a competition and even outside, whether you make it or not in this industry, this is the time when I think is a perfect place to have a wonderful camaraderie with one another.

"And I think that if you believe you are good... Do you believe you're good? Do you believe you have a chance?"

Rere just nodded and said "oo naman po" to Cherie's questions.

Cherie continued, "And I believe the same. A very, very strong chance. You have a wonderful star quality in you, from the very beginning.

"So if that is something you can hold on to and that you know for sure, be convinced and be secured about that, and focus on that, rather than those around you."

Lexi Gonzales was one of the contestants who voted Rere out of the competition, saying that she was backstabbing her fellow finalists.

When it was Lexi's turn to face the StarStruck council, Heart immediately asked her about the alleged backstabbing incident.

She told Lexi, "You were very strong about your statement when you spoke about Rere saying that she was backstabbing. What happened, ano ba ang nangyari?"

Lexi explained that the incident involved her, Rere, and fellow finalist Ella Cristofani.

Prior to the episode, Ella has been getting the top spot in the competition, especially in terms of public votes.

Lexi said, "She told me things about Ella, and after po no'n, may mga naririnig na po ako noong biglang umangat po yung scores ko sa votes na she said na imposible na mataas yung scores ko and Ella.

"And recently po, may sinabi siya na after I told Ella about it, na sabi po niya, ako naman po talaga yung may hindi gusto kay Ella.

"E, before po, I spoke to Ella, I told her na why would I warn her about things na paninira about her if I really didn't like her at first."

Heart told Lexi, "But honestly, you have to remember that it's showbiz, it's a tough world.

"You entered here because we all have bills to pay, we have people to help, we have people to support, and you’re not here to make friends.

"Do your job, be professional, and let the others just be. That's the best thing to do.

"I just wanted to say that because it's good to be friends with everyone but you cannot win them all. Okay?"

After the council watched their acting piece, Cherie also gave Lexi another piece of advice.

"Lexi, you already know that you seem to be quite at home with TV, with the taping.

"I just have to say something that when you know you've done well, I would suggest that you keep it to yourself and never compare, okay? That's all."

After StarStruck's airing, Rere and Lexi both posted on Instagram regarding the the incident.

In her post, Rere thanked all her followers for believing in her, and even those who don't seem to understand her.

Rere also emphasized the words "MAYABANG, PLASTIC at BACKSTABBER" on her post.

Lexi posted a photo of her blowing a kiss, and explained this in her caption that goes (published as is):

"This is me blowing a goodbye kiss to all the negativity.

"I've learned from everything that's happened and now I know that I should just focus on the things that will help me grow and not on the things that will only hurt me and cause negativity in my life.

"No matter what other people say, what's important is I know that I only speak the truth. But from now on, I will only focus on making myself better and not letting any negativity affect me anymore because that’s what I need to be the woman I want to be."

Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid also seemed to have watched the episode since he posted a Twitter message dedicated to his sister right after the airing of the episode.

I love you Rere ! @Athenamadrid6"

Rere reposted the tweet on her Instagram story, and wrote "Thankyou kuya i love you!"
