Live via satellite from the United States, the Miss Universe 2019 pageant aired from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. on ABS-CBN, pre-empting two Kapamilya shows: Magandang Buhay and Kapamilya Blockbusters.
Viewers were able to witness Gazini Ganados's Top 20 finish, the final walk of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and the coronation of Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi.

According to Kantar Media, ABS-CBN's telecast of Miss Universe 2019 got a TV rating of 18.9%.
The special telecast was pitted against four rival shows in GMA-7, which followed regular programming.
Kiddie shows Knock Out got 2.8% and Fairytail registered 3.4%.
The Kapuso network’s originally produced talk show, Mars Pa More, got 2.9%.
Kapuso Movie Festival, which aired Goosebumps that day, got a Kantar rating of 5.9%.
