Jerald Napoles, who has been doing GMA-7 shows since 2013, is finally joining the ABS-CBN series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
His inclusion in the show happens four years after he first turned down Coco Martin's offer for him to be included in the original cast of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano in 2015.
However, Jerald chose GMA-7's variety program, Sunday PinaSaya, which aired only a month before FPJ's Ang Probinsyano premiered on TV.
Yesterday, December 24, Dreamscape Entertainment announced that Jerald is part of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano's new cast, along with Ara Mina, Rhen Escaño, and Tirso Cruz III.
Ara and Rhen also posted on their respective Instagram accounts about their inclusion in the four-year-old Kapamilya prime-time series.
Ara wrote in her post, "Hi everyone! Surprise! Simula po bukas ng gabi mapapanood nyo na po ang #PaduaFamily sa Ang Probinsyano"
Rhen captioned her photo, "May bagong pamilya kayong makakasama sa FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Happy Holidays from pamilya Padua"
Jerald has yet to post about his participation in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano or about his transfer to ABS-CBN.
Jerald's inclusion in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano marks his comeback to ABS-CBN after eight years.
Jerald, who first became known as a theater actor, used to do uncredited roles in Kapamilya teleseryes such as May Bukas Pa (2009), Impostor (2010), Mara Clara (2010), and Nasaan Ka, Elisa? (2011).
In 2013, Jerald first appeared in a GMA-7 TV show: the revolution-themed series Katipunan.
While playing bit roles on TV shows, Jerald continued doing theater productions where he played important roles such as Noli Me Tangere (2011), Care Divas (2012), and Rak of Aegis (2014).
In 2015, Jerald got his break on TV when GMA-7 and APT Entertainment tapped him to be part of the Sunday noontime show Sunday PinaSaya.
His TV career that time was also managed by APT Entertainment's talent management arm, Triple A Management.
While doing Sunday PinaSaya, Jerald was able to do Kapuso teleseryes like My Faithful Husband (2015), That's My Amboy (2016), Super Ma'am (2017), Inagaw na Bituin (2019), and Love You Two (2019).
In December 2019, Jerald decided to leave Triple A Management and transfer to VIVA Artists Agency, the manager of his girlfriend, Kim Molina.
On December 29, weeks after Jerald signed with VIVA Artists Agency, his remaining Kapuso show Sunday PinaSaya will show its last episode this weekend after four years on the air.
