For Isabelle Daza, transferring to ABS-CBN is a "leap of faith."
After being a co-host of Eat Bulaga for the past three and a half years, she bid farewell to GMA-7's noontime show last November 22.
In a text message sent through her manager Leo Dominguez, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): "I said goodbye to Eat Bulaga! today.
"It was so painful to leave them. I'm crying and crying."
On Monday, November 24, Isabelle signed a two-year exclusive network contract with ABS-CBN.
The model-actress is set to join the cast of the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye titled Nathaniel.
“Makakasama ko dito sina Gerald Anderson, Shaina Magdayao, Pokwang, at Coney Reyes. Magagaling ang mga artistang kasama sa cast kaya excited ako para doon. Gaganap akong girlfriend ni Gerald. Isa akong abugado na katrabaho ang nanay niyang si Connie,” Isabelle was quoted as saying in a release provided by ABS-CBN.
The 26-year-old actress is also gearing up for a movie under Star Cinema.
When asked why she joined the Kapamilya network, she explained that she wanted to hone her acting skills.
“Gusto ko ng bagong challenge sa buhay ko. Gusto kong subukan ‘yong mga bagay na hindi ko pa nagagawa noon. Gusto kong palawakin ‘yong karanasan ko bilang isang aktres,” said the daughter of Gloria Diaz.
In her Instagram account, Isabelle shared her photo with ABS-CBN executives during the contract signing.
For the caption of the photo, she wrote: "Take a leap of faith."
Present during the event were ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN broadcast head Cory Vidanes, Star Creatives head Malou Santos, chief finance officer Aldrin Cerrado, TV production head Laurenti Dyogi, and Isabelle's talent manager Leo Dominguez.
