Liza Soberano finally speaks up about the cancellation of her prime-time series with Enrique Gil, Make It With You.

On her Instagram post yesterday, June 9, Liza wrote an open letter to the "solid followers" of Make It With You.

According to Liza, she is heartbroken to confirm the news that their teleserye will no longer return to television.

She then revealed that they were still being asked to resume taping on June 13, but most of the cast members, including her, had hesitations.

Liza particularly mentioned that her "weak immune system" makes her at risk with COVID-19.

Part of her letter read, "When we were asked to resume taping on June 13, many of us had hesitations.

"Considering that the COVID-19 situation here in the Philippines is far from contained, there are many risks in place for me (and everyone involved) given my history of having a weak immune system.

"I consulted my family, my managers, and the team and we all came to an agreement that it might be for the best to not continue with the show anymore."

Liza also stated that apart from the cast members' hesitation, there are also other factors why Make It With You will no longer return on air.

At the end of her post, Liza apologized to the fans that Make It With You "won’t be able to give our audience the ending they deserve."

Here is Liza's full post:

"Thank you so much for embarking on the journey of Billie and Gabo.

"It breaks my heart to confirm that we will no longer be coming back to air.

"I know a lot of you are upset and looking for answers and the only explanation I can give you is genuine fear of the virus.
