Jennylyn Mercado reunites with Raymart Santiago for GMA-7's upcoming teleserye titled Second Chances.

This show directed by Laurice Guillen is described as a "story about heartache and the love that heals it." It also stars Camille Prats and Rafael Rosell.

During the grand presscon of this show, Jennylyn described her character Lyra by saying, "Asawa ko muna si Luis Alandy then mai-in love ako kay Raymart.

"Then si Rafael Rosell, siya yung laging nandiyan."

She recalled that she previously worked with Raymart in the 2011 Kapuso show Futbolilits.

"Nagkatrabaho kami ni Raymart dati sa Futbolilits.

"Kumportable talaga kami magkatrabaho."

When asked to differentiate Second Chances from other teleseryes that she did in the past, the Kapuso actress pointed out:

"Ibang-iba ang karakter ko dito.

"Pamilyado na ako dito, kumbaga matanda na yung character ko.

"May asawa, may anak at may tragedy na mangyayari then dun na masusubukan ang pagkatatag ni Lyra...kung bibigyan ba niya ng second chance ang ibang tao.

"Ayaw na niya kasing ma in love. Dalang-dala na siya."

Jennylyn mentioned that she even agreed to shoot scenes in a two-piece swimsuit when it was needed for Second Chances.

"Nag two-piece ako diyan. Kahit ang dami kong stretch marks!

"Sabi ko sa kanila, kayo nang bahala, alalayan n'yo na lang ako."

According to the actress, she is willing to do what is needed for her to portray her role effectively.

"Kung ano ang hiningi sa akin, kung ano ang idinemand sa akin, go!"

How does she feel about this project that comes at the heels of Rhodora X, wherein she had the challenging role of portraying a woman with multiple personalities.

"Pressure! Dapat matapatan o malagpasan pa [ang Rhodora X]."

In this romantic comedy film, she portrayed an English tutor who is treated badly by her ex-boyfriend (played by Kean Cipriano).

In real life, has Jennylyn ever been so crazy in love (called "foolish heart" in English Only Please)?

"Maraming beses pero hindi ako natutuloy sa tao na yun...sinasabi ni God, hindi ka bagay diyan, hindi ka karapat-dapat diyan...mayroong mas may dapat sa iyo.

Who was the guy who caused her to act foolishly in love?

"Hindi ko na sasabihin," she said with a smile.

Jennylyn then explained why some scenes were deleted from English Only Please.

"Overtime na. Masyado nang mahaba ang pelikula.

"Nanghinayang kami kasi maraming magagandang eksena na tinanggal."

Why didn't she shoot a love scene with Derek Ramsay?

"Para maiba naman," she said with a laugh. "Si Derek, di ba, lahat ng movies niya may love scene?"
