Bea's projects with the Kapuso network are yet to be announced. But already in the works is her movie with Alden Richards titled A Moment To Remember. It will be produced by VIVA Films, APT Entertainment, and GMA Pictures, a film company under GMA Network's film arm, GMA Films.

REPORTS ABOUT BEA'S TRANSFER

As early as May 2021, there were already reports saying Bea would sign a contract with GMA-7.

On Tuesday, June 29, GMA-7 released a teaser about an "award-winning actress who will soon be a Kapuso."

Netizens were quick to guess that the art card was pertaining to Bea because of the "Be A Kapuso" in the description.

On June 30, another teaser was posted on GMA Network's social media accounts, showing the eyes of the actress.

The description in the art card read: "One of the biggest artists in Philippine showbiz will be a Kapuso."

This time, the words "Be A" were highlighted in red.

Bea started her career in ABS-CBN in 2001 as part of Star Circle Batch 10. Her first project on TV was the youth-oriented series K2BU.

In 2002, she was paired with John Lloyd Cruz in the teleserye Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.

The love team was such a success that they were able to top-bill several more teleseryes and movies. These projects include the hit TV show Maging Sino Ka Man (2006) and the movie One More Chance (2007).

For her solo projects, Bea top-billed Magkaribal (2010), Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon (2014), and the movies And I Love You So (2009) and Eerie (2019).

She was also part of ensemble movies Sa 'Yo Lamang (2010) and Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013).

Bea's last TV project with ABS-CBN was the prime-time series A Love To Last (2017).

In 2020, Bea was supposed to do a project with Richard Gutierrez titled Kahit Minsan Lang. The show already started taping until a lockdown was imposed in Luzon because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eventually, the project was shelved. Some reports claimed that Bea had to turn down the series because of the deadly virus.

During her interview with the editors of Summit Media last March 2021, Bea revealed the reason: the concept no longer fits the limitations set by the pandemic.

However, there were also reports about the project not being completely shelved because it was also offered to Maja Salvador, who supposedly turned it down after agreeing to co-host Sunday Noontime Live on TV5.

In November 2020, Bea decided to leave Star Magic after 19 years and chose to be with her present manager, Shirley Kuan.

However, a statement of ABS-CBN then said that Bea remains to be a Kapamilya.

Bea is also scheduled to do a movie with John Lloyd titled No Goodbyes. However, no word has been said yet if the movie will still push through.

Prior to Bea signing with GMA-7, John Lloyd has also agreed to do shows with the Kapuso network.
