Former Kapuso stars Janine Gutierrez and Sunshine Dizon are set to be seen in their first ABS-CBN prime-time series, Marry Me, Marry You.
A full trailer introducing the characters was released by Dreamscape Entertainment today, August 9, 2021.
It also gave a sneak peek of the series, which focuses on the love story of Janine and Paulo Avelino’s characters and their families.
The trailer begins with orphan Camille (Janine) who has built strong family ties with her three aunties, played by Cherry Pie Picache, Vina Morales, and Sunshine.
Vina and Sunshine’s roles are a far cry from their previous teleseryes in which they played serious characters.
An accident paves the way for the meeting of Camille and Andrei (Paulo).
Andrei is the son of neglectul parents played by Edu Manzano and Teresa Loyzaga.
Conflict begins when Camille and Andrei fall in love amid the bickering of their families.
Marry Me, Marry You is directed by Dwein Baltazar and Jojo Saguin. ABS-CBN has yet to announce an airing date.
It marks the first teleserye of Janine and Sunshine, who were long-time Kapuso talents before transferring to ABS-CBN in early 2020.
Janine was a Kapuso for nine years, while Sunshine was an artist of GMA-7 for 25 years.
Sunshine's last teleserye was the GMA-7 afternoon series Magkaagaw, which ended in 2021, while Janine's last Kapuso project was Dragon Lady, aired in 2019.
