TV5 and Cignal TV's prime-time series, Niña Niño, is performing well in the ratings game.
Niña Niño, which is top-billed by Maja Salvador and Noel Comia, has managed to reach the 5.0% mark in the TV ratings despite the strong competition in its timeslot and the limited reach of TV5.
According to AGB NUTAM, it was August 17 episode that hit the record-breaking number since it premiered in April 2021, ranking no. 12 in the Top 30 highest rating shows for that day.
The series airs every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as its timeslot gives way to the PBA games every Wednesday and Friday.
Niña Niño is co-produced by Cignal and CS Studios. It airs every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as its timeslot gives way to the PBA games every Wednesday and Friday.
Niña Niño’s rival program in GMA-7, the flagship newscast 24 Oras, remained the number one program with 17.8%. It is simulcast on GMA-7 and its sister channel, Gtv.
However, Niña Niño only goes head-to-head with 24 Oras in its last 45 minutes as the prime-time drama airs at 7:15 p.m.

Niña Niño premiered on TV5 on April 5, 2021. In July 2021, it was renewed for a second season, with Maja, Noel, and the whole cast going through another cycle of taping in Tarlac.
Empoy Marquez plays the leading man of Maja in the series.
New cast members, including Kat Galang, Miles Ocampo, Gio Alvarez, and Ahron Villena, were also introduced in the second season.
