Three ABS-CBN shows nominated at 2021 Venice TV Award

ABS-CBN shows A Soldier's Heart, He's Into Her, and Everybody, Sing! get nominated at the Venice TV Award 2021 edition.

Three ABS-CBN programs earned nominations at the 2021 edition of the Venice TV Award (VTVA).

Based on its website, the VTVA "awards the masterpieces of television," with jurors convening in Italy to decide the winners that "create high-quality content."

The three TV shows that aired in 2020 and 2021 were nominated in different categories.

A Soldier's Heart (2020) was nominated for the Best Soap/Telenovela category. The war drama was top-billed by Gerald Anderson, Carlo Aquino, Nash Aguas, Sue Ramirez, Jerome Ponce, Yves Flores, Vin Abrenica, and Elmo Magalona. The Gold Medal went to Brazil's Mother's Love.

The youth-oriented series He's Into Her (2021), which was headlined by the love team of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, got nominated for the Cross-Platform Category. The project was a co-production of Star Cinema and ABS-CBN's streaming platform iWant TFC. The Gold Medal was awarded to Brazil's OFF Makers.

Musical game show Everybody, Sing!, which is currently airing, and is hosted by Vice Ganda, was nominated in the Light Entertainment category. Britain's Rob & Romesh Vs. was adjudged as winner.

The three Kapamilya shows, which were all aired amid the pandemic, will be recognized with Nominee Certificates by the VTVA.
