Anne was last seen in It’s Showtime studio in December 2019 before she took her maternity leave.

Anne then spent the succeeding months in Australia, where she gave birth to baby Dahlia in March 2021.

She returned to the Philippines with her family in February 2021.

In April 2020, Anne had a short interaction with the hosts of It's Showtime, which is currently Zoom-based.

She was also rumored to be eyeing a GMA-7 transfer when she met with some executives of GMA Films.

Anne clarified the meeting was about a movie offer, which she has not accepted yet.

She also assured that she is a Kapamilya, and will return to It’s Showtime.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Anne explained she was just careful about doing projects that will require long-term tapings.

She told Boy, “Dahlia is still quite young pa. I am just being very cautious muna. But soon. Babalik ako, for sure iyon. Babalik talaga ako for sure.”
