Jackie Rice is no longer part of GMA-7’s upcoming afternoon series, Artikulo 247.
GMA-7 in its latest announcement about the project has introduced Kris Bernal as the kontrabida to the character of Rhian Ramos in the new teleserye.
It did not state the reason for this development in the show.
But a report on Abante's website said Jackie had to leave the cast for health reasons.
Rocco Nacino was also originally slated to be one of teleserye's leading men, together with Mark Heras.
However, he had to be pulled out of Artikulo 247 because he was tapped to replace Derek Ramsay in another teleserye, To Have and To Hold.
Benjamin Alves was later announced as Rocco's replacement in Artikulo 247.
Artikulo 247 is directed by Jorron Lee Monroy, who did the shows Hanggang Sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko (2019), I Can See You: Truly, Madly, Deadly (2020), and Ang Dalawang Ikaw (2021).
Artikulo 247 will be aired in January 2022.

It also seems like Jackie is no longer part of GMA Artist Center.
When PEP.ph checked the updated list of GMA Artist Center talents on its website, Jackie is no longer included.
Without any official statement from GMA-7, the status of Jackie with the network's talent management unit is unclear.
It has also been rumored that Jackie may be transferring to ABS-CBN, reportedly to play the role of Valentina in the TV adaptation of Darna.
In October 2021, Jackie reposted a screenshot of an article from a blogsite about her being considered for the role.
She simply commented, "Gusto n'yo ba?"
Jackie started her career in 2005 when she won the Ultimate Female Survivor title of StarStruck: The Nationwide Invasion.
Since then, Jackie has become part of several Kapuso projects. She portrayed the lead roles in the teleseryes Sisid (2011) and Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? (2012).
Jackie would later be seen playing more kontrabida roles in teleseryes, such as Innamorata (2014); Buena Familia(2015); My Love From The Star (2017), and Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka (2018).
