The co-stars of Arjo Atayde in ABS-CBN’s upcoming international project, Cattleya Killer, have been revealed.
ABS-CBN’s International Production and Co-Production department revealed the cast of the project through Instagram earlier today, February 3.
Playing major roles in the project are Christopher de Leon, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Jake Cuenca.
Christopher is wrapping up taping for his GMA Public Affairs series Lolong, while Jake is still seen in the ABS-CBN prime-time series Viral Scandal.
Ricky Davao, who has been directing shows on GMA-7, is also part of the cast.
This is Ricky's first project in ABS-CBN as an actor after 17 years. His last show was Vietnam Rose aired in 2005.
Nonie Buencamino is also expected to be seen in the international project.
The Broken Marriage Vow star Jane Oineza and Viral Scandal actress Ria Atayde also have important roles in the project.
This is the first time that siblings Arjo and Ria are working together in a series. They previously co-starred in a 2018 episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Completing the cast of the international project are Frances Makil, Ketchup Eusebio, Jojit Lorenzo, and Rafa Siguion-Reyna.
Cattleya Killer is a remake of Star Cinema’s 1996 movie, Sa Aking Mga Kamay, which starred Aga Muhlach and Chin Chin Gutierrez. Christopher de Leon was also part of the film.
It tells the story of a charismatic man later revealed to be a serial killer of unfaithful wives. He is called the “Cattleya Killer” because he places cattleya flowers on the bodies of his victims.
It was in October 2021 when ABS-CBN announced that it will do an international production based on Sa Aking Mga Kamay with Arjo as the lead actor.
Cattleya Killer is directed by Dan Villegas and written by Dodo Dayao under the supervision of executive producer Ruel Santos Bayani.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce when production will commence for Cattleya Killer.
