Nikki Gil may have retired from doing television work, but she has remained in touch with her friends in showbiz.
The former actress-TV host hosted a reunion with her former colleagues from MYX and the defunct ABS-CBN program ASAP Fanatic: Kapamilya stars Shaina Magdayao and Luis Manzano and Kapuso star Iya Villania.
Luis was joined by his wife Jessy Mendiola, while Iya was also with her husband Drew Arellano. Nikki’s husband, BJ Albert, was also present.
On March 13, 2022, Nikki posted on Instagram a photo of their get-together.
Nikki wrote in her caption, “Marehan 2022. ANG SAYA huhuuhuhu missed you guuuuys!!”
Luis also uploaded the photo on his Instagram account.
He wrote, “Todo laughtrip at kulitan night with these peeps. You don’t need blood to be family. naaaaks lalim, na basa ko lang yun sa banyo dati”
Shaina commented on both posts, “WELCOME TO …ASAP FANATIC”
Their celebrity friends Iza Calzado, Rachelle Ann Go, Isabelle Daza, and Anne Curtis commented on their posts.
Anne, who was also a host of ASAP Fanatic, said she will join the next reunion.
ASAP Fanatic was ASAP’s youth-oriented spin-off version that aired from 2004 to 2006.
Luis, Nikki, and Iya are also long-time VJs of MYX, ABS-CBN’s music channel.
All of them were VJs of the channel for 10 years: Luis from 2003 to 2013, Iya from 2004 to 2014, and Nikki from 2005 to 2015.
