Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 Best Actor Christian Bables is joining the cast of ABS-CBN’s Darna.
The actor has just joined the latest lock-in taping cycle of the series at the ABS-CBN Soundstage in Bulacan.
On March 12, 2022, Christian posted a photo with Darna lead actress Jane de Leon.
He wrote in the caption of his Instagram post, “Proud of this lady… soar high @imjanedeleon”
On the same day, cast member Mac Manicad posted a mirror selfie with co-star and Darna lead actor Joshua Garcia on the set.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce the role of Christian in Darna
The series is Christian's follow-up project after the success of his movie, Big Night, in which, coincidentally, his character was named Dharna.
He won the Best Actor award in MMFF 2021 for his performance in the film.
Christian was part of the Kapamilya teleserye Halik (2018 to 2019) and Kahit Minsan Lang, which was shelved in late 2020 after its main star Bea Alonzo transferred to GMA-7.
