Glaiza de Castro is excited about GMA-7’s iconic telefantasya, Encantadia, getting another reboot.
This time, it is a spin-off titled Sang’gre, which will tackle the story of the missing daughter of Sang’gre Danaya.
Glaiza played Pirena, the eldest among the four Sang’gres, in the 2016 reboot. She was joined by Sanya Lopez, Kylie Padilla, and Gabbi Garcia, who played the remaining Sang'gres Danaya, Amihan, and Alena, respectively.
The roles of Danaya, Pirena, Amihan, and Alena were originally played by Diana Zubiri, Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, and Karylle, respectively, in the 2005 version.
Is there a chance that Glaiza will be a part of Sang'gre?
During her PEP Exclusives interview with the editorial team of PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the Kapuso actress says she might become a part of the series again, based on her conversation with creator and head writer Suzette Doctolero.
If Glaiza will be formally invited to join Sang’gre, she would definitely say yes.
She says, “Of course!
NEW GENERATION OF SANG’GRES
Of course, Glaiza is also excited to pass their throne to a new breed of Sang’gres.
GMA Senior Vice President for Drama Lilybeth Rasonable already revealed in a press conference that the actress who will headline Sang’gre has already been chosen.
With this, Glaiza is excited to find out who will be taking on the lead role for the spin-off.
She tells PEP.ph, “Nakaka-excite kasi wala rin akong idea.
“So, ang daming nagtatanong. Malamang naka-line up iyan for next year.”
PEP.ph then asks Glaiza for the top three Kapuso actresses whom she thinks have what it takes to become the next Sang’gre.
She answers, “Feeling ko, parang puwede si Sofia Pablo. In terms of medyo older, feeling ko si Bianca Umali.
So yun yung top three.”
She then clarifies, “Top three ko yun and wala akong kahit na anong alam.”
Currently, Glaiza is set to headline the upcoming GMA-7 mini-series False Positive with Xian Lim.
