The long wait of their fans for the comeback of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is over.
On April 18, 2022, ABS-CBN Entertainment released the full trailer of their upcoming teleserye, 2 Good 2 Be True, in which its airing date was also revealed.
It is set to premiere on May 16, 2022. Its timeslot has yet to be announced.
The last part of the full trailer announced that the KathNiel series will also have an advance airing on the streaming platform Netflix.
This makes 2 Good 2 Be True the first Pinoy teleserye to air first on Netflix before its local TV airing.
Aside from Netflix, 2 Good 2 Be True’s advance premiere is also available on ABS-CBN’s streaming platform, iWant TFC. Yet to be announced is how many hours will the show be available on both platforms before its TV airing.

KATHRYN AND DANIEL AS ALI AND ELOI
The full trailer of 2 Good 2 Be True shows the dynamics of Kathryn and Daniel’s respective characters, Ali and Eloi.
Ali crosses paths with Eloi at a hotel function, where her allergic rhinitis gets triggered when she bumps into Eloi.

Ali then sees on TV that a robbery is also happening at the hotel and suspects Eloi to be behind it.

Eloi actually heads a group of scam artists with a bit conscience: “Kinukuha lang natin kung ano yung atraso, walang labis, walang kulang.”

Apparently, this is part of Eloi’s mission to discover the truth behind a crime that has put his father (Romnick Sarmenta) in prison.

He then sees an old man (Ronaldo Valdez) being in charge of his father’s documents. It also happens that the old man’s nurse is Ali.

Eloi then makes Ali fall for him, with Ali realizing that Eloi is the hotel robber after her allergies get triggered again.

The series will then show how Eloi and Ali fall for each other for real despite his hidden intentions.
2 Good 2 Be True is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, who worked with them in the movies Crazy Beautiful You (2015) and Can’t Help Falling In Love (2017).
2 Good 2 Be True also features Irma Adlawan, Gelli de Belen, Gillian Vicencio, Matt Evans, Bodjie Pascua, Smokey Manaloto, among others.
The project serves as the 10th year celebration of KathNiel, whose first project was Growing Up in 2011.
Their last teleserye was the 2017 fantasy series La Luna Sangre, under the unit of Star Creatives.
This time, KathNiel is doing a teleserye under RGE Drama Unit, helmed by Rizza Gonzales-Ebriega who produced the shows Ipaglaban Mo, Nang Ngumiti ang Langit, and Bagong Umaga.
