Taong 2017 huling napanood si Ariel Rivera sa GMA-7 sa Mulawin versus Ravena, at makalipas ang limang taon ay balik-GMA si Ariel sa The Fake Life bilang si Onats Villamor.
Sa ginanap na Zoom mediacon para sa The Fake Life kamakailan ay tinanong si Ariel kung tuluy-tuloy na ba ang pagiging Kapuso niya, at kung may mga naka-line up na ba siyang proyekto sa GMA bukod sa umeere ngayong The Fake Life.
Lahad niya, “Sa ngayon wala, but I would love to stay. I love GMA. I’ve always loved GMA. I have so many friends here in GMA.
“And I hope we have future plans, I really do. I like how the atmosphere is this year in GMA—how the staff are, the people we work with, how more down-to-earth they are than some good people we’ve worked with, you know.
“So I’m very happy to be here.”
ARIEL REVEALS SECRET TO LASTING MARRIAGE
Kailan lamang ay ipinagdiwang nina Ariel at Gelli de Belen ang kanilang wedding anniversary. Isa sila sa mga maituturing na pinakamatatag na showbiz couple sa Pilipinas.
Sa tanong kay Ariel kung ano ang sikreto ng kanilang stable relationship, mabilis niyang sagot, “I just listen to my wife… that’s it! That’s the secret to life!"
Pero mas seryoso niyang pahayag, “What makes a relationship work, from my perspective… respect, respect lang.
“From there, kasama na yung love and everything but you respect each other’s views, you respect each other’s ways and yun lang.
“I think iyon na yun.
“Siyempre a lot of factors, pero iyon ang pinaka root talaga namin ni Gelli, respect, I would say.”

Dahil The Fake Life ang kanilang serye, at dahil may mga bagay na hindi natin maiiwasan na kailangang i-fake natin dahil kinakailangan, may maibabahagi ba si Ariel na isang bagay o sitwasyon na hindi niya naiwasang i-fake dahil wala nang iba pang choice?
“This happens more frequently than I want to admit. When you’re doing a concert, you forget lyrics. Gumawa ka ng sarili mong lyrics,” at tumawa si Ariel.
