Thai stars Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong visited the Philippines to celebrate the finale episode of the hit GL series Gap with their Filipino fans.
Held at SM SkyDome on February 12, 2023, the fan meet was dubbed “The Debutante: A watch party for the uncut last episode of GAP The Series.”
Produced by CDM Entertainment, the event gave Filipino fans a chance to meet the show’s lead stars and engage in fun activities.
Gap is considered the first mainstream girls’ love (GL) series in Thailand and is available for viewing in the Philippines via YouTube.

A 12-part series that premiered in November 2022, Gap generated millions of views per episode with a total record of 317 million views.
It follows the story of Mond falling for Sam, who is eight years older and has ties with the royal family.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Freen and Becky expressed their gratitude to Filipino fans who supported their series and made their sold-out fan meet possible.
"I was really surprised. I was working when I learned that the tickets had been sold-out. I'm very much excited to see everyone,” said Freen.
Becky, for her part, said the support of their Filipino fans gave them a boost of confidence.
"I was with Freen that day. We were working, and then we had like a 20-minute break to have lunch.
"And then we saw on Twitter that the tickets were sold out so quickly. We really want to thank you, like, we cannot believe that it was that fast.
"Their support was an encouragement for us to do better and so we had to prepare the songs and everything to come to the Philippines.”

on GAP THE SERIES
Freen and Becky were also thrilled about the show's growing popularity in the Philippines.
Aside from the novelty of headlining their first GL project, Freen pointed out that what made Gap a success is it's a love story that transcends class and gender.
She explained, “There are different types of love in this world, like BL or GL, and I want everyone to be open-minded and accept that these kinds of love really happen in the daily life that we see."
Becky also expressed her hope that there will be more GL shows in the future as it is just another way of telling the usual love story.
"I think it's very normal nowadays to have shows that feature a boy loving a boy, or girl loving a girl, or a boy loving a girl, and vice versa.
"It's like a typical love story that everyone can relate to. It's two people that fell in love in such a special way.
"I'm glad that series like GL can show that perspective and hopefully, in the future we'll see more."

ON freen and becky's growing FILIPINO FANS
For Freen and Becky, the Philippines holds a special place in their hearts and has left a lasting impression on them.
The two even recalled the last time they visited the country in June 2022 when they joined the Pinoy BL Festival for a different project.
Reflecting on the growth of their Filipino fanbase, Becky said, "It was very exciting because it was my first time in the Philippines.
"We started from just a small group of fans, but now everyone has been following and it's growing.
"So thank you so much for following and supporting us."
Freen added, "Back then, we only had a few people who knew us right but not that much yet.
"But now that we came back and just want to say wow, like thank you. Thank you so much."
