The closeness of PBB 737 housemates Kenzo Gutierrez and Bailey May Thomas has triggered netizens to dub them as the "Kenley" tandem.
While staying inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, the two have been seen holding hands, hugging and even kissing each other.
Dr. Randy Dellosa, resident psychologist of PBB for the past 10 years, defined a bromance by saying, "It's more about brotherly love, a deep friendship of two males."
PBB host Toni Gonzaga asked the psychologist: is there malice ongoing between Kenzo and Bailey?
"Walang malisya yun, it's more of deep friendship," he assured.
What could be the reason behind their extreme closeness to each other?
"Magandang pag-aralan kasi iba ang backgrounds nila. Silang dalawa ay unico hijo.
"They are both only sons and they have a natural longing for a brother."
Is it normal for boys to be "touchy-feely" with each other?
"Yung mga boys ay touchy naman," explained Dr. Dellosa. "Maraming klase ng touch, may touch na harutan...may touch rin sa guys na show of affection and friendliness."
Should the parents of Kenzo and Bailey be concerned because of their sweet gestures inside the PBB house?
"Siguro mas mag-alala sila kapag hindi na sila close to each other, kapag hindi na sila affectionate to each other.
"Ang status nila ay BFF, best friends forever. If they stop being affectionate to each other, ibig sabihin there is something wrong with them."
He also cites loneliness as a reason why Kenzo and Bailey are becoming "touchy-feely" inside the PBB house.
"Yung mga housemates they get lonely, homesick sila and they want to get the affection from each other para masuportahan nila ang isa't isa. So that's one reason why they become touchy and emotional."
How is the presence of an openly gay housemate (Ryan James Bacalla) affecting how the boys interact with each other?
Dr. Dellosa pointed out some of the boys are not really exposed to gay persons and they are doing these acts "to make Ryan comfortable."
He hopes that through PBB, viewers will be educated about shifting changes in cultural expectations on gender.
"This is one way to educate na nagbabago ang gender expectations at gender roles sa culture natin ngayon. Kung dati, ang lalaki dapat tough, rough at emotionless, ngayon we have to be in touch with both our male and female sides.
"Even women, dapat in touch rin sa male and female sides kasi that is how God made us."
