Two Philippine acts—Neneth Lyons and 4th Power—advance to the next round of The X Factor UK Season 12.
In the country estate bootcamp, the Pinay singer and the all-female singing group were joined by fellow contestants Louisa Johnson, Sherilyn Hamilton-Shaw, Jasmine Leigh Morris, and Andre Batchelor.
The X Factor UK judges—Simon Cowell, Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and Nick Grimshaw—were impressed by the production number done by Neneth and 4th Power.
They gave a rendition of Tina Turner's classic hit “Proud Mary” during the first stage of the bootcamp.
However, the group's performance was not flawless because Jasmine Leigh forgot a few words from her portion of the song.
After their performance, Simon made the group more nervous by dividing them in two. The renowned talent competition judge and music producer asked 4th Power along with Andre and Jasmine Leigh to step forward while Louisa, Sherilyn, and Neneth remined at the back.
Then, Simon delivered the good news to the group and said: “I want to thank you all for what you’ve done. I hope this has been a great experience for you and now we’ve made our decision… You are all through to the next round.”
The first part of the bootcamp for this season took place at the Grove Hotel in England from July 27 to 31, 2015.
The next round of the bootcamp, dubbed as the “Six-seat Challenge,” was filmed last September 1 and 2, 2015 at The SSE Arena in London. The episodes for this round will be aired starting October 4.
